I was very enjoyed watching these episodes back in the day. Miss these days. One of the reasons I love this show so much is that the nostalgia feeling it gives.

Yeah, not gonna lie, this episode isn't that great. Having a monster that the GAR has to defeat after they accidentally unleash it on its home planet is one thing, but taking it to Coruscant is honestly just not a good idea.

Filoni combined King Kong and Godzilla. Very creative. Saved him a lot of time having tp come up with anything original.

Thanks for doing all this content Matt, it's a treat for someone beginning with the EU. For me the EU is more canonical than Disney Star wars as it was overseen by GL, however I am not sad about it being discontinued. If Disney continued it it would have been a low priority, they would have wanted the best writers for their new "canon". I also think there is a right time to stop, like the Beatles or Led Zeppelin quitting or an artist dying. There is a time for it to stop. I sort of feel like Lucas 6 films are the heart and the EU supports those, in ways that Disney material just doesn't. I think Star Wars will remain a culturally significant event, especially the OT but all of the Lucas era material is related to it. The EU exists as a rich tapestry of stories, that can be dived into and reread and savoured, that is where we are now. There are bits of Disney content I have enjoyed Rogue One and the 1st 2 seasons of the Mandalorian, they're addenda. I don't see there being another Star Wars era that will eclipse the George Lucas era there was a charm about them and they were personal to their creator, that will never happen again, not that they won't try to milk the franchise but as fans we can enjoy the stuff we like and move on to other things.

Your Queen Games shelf is a shameful shelf 🤣🤣

I always seem to have about 40 as there are some that I bet never get played. 😂 The newer it is the better chance it has of getting played. Or if it has a solo mode. I face two challenges in that I don’t have a game group that I dictate what we are playing that it sounds like you do. I have one that’s pretty close, but that group only meets 1-2 months and the games HAVE to be light due to some attendees. The other challenge is the flip side in that I am competing with others to what game is played and surprisingly, even though they are gamers, never seem to recognize the game I propose, only popular titles. And I have one person that gets upset for no good reason if I’ve never played it before, no matter how prepared I am. Some of the oldest I bet are around 7 years old. I want to say it’s Rolling Freight. 😢

Having lost /gave away most of my (150? ) mostly Avalon Hill game collection 40 years ago, except for about 30 them that I managed to keep. Nowadays I am rebuying a "few" of my old collection , about 1 every 2 months when I can afford it. Luckily so many old board gamers are dying 🤔 the resell market from estate sales ☹, has many of the old games I am looking for, at basically the same price I paid for the same game back around 1980. LOL $ 10-20, the shipping cost is often more than the game. But basically all my games reside in boxes of shame , as I have no-one to play them with, and my mobility is limited to travel , and I live in BFE, so God only knows if or when I might move somewhere where there are "people" to play these games with. The few games I buy, I for nostalgia , It is nice just to read the rules of old war//board games , and look at the maps and such. , I am pretty proud of my old "Shelf-O-Shame"😎 which is my entire collection now.. ------------------------------------------- Anyway yes , I do have 1 actual "Shelf-o -shame" game, IMO. A game I bought to play with family on a holiday and it totally didn't work. $80 because it was highly wanted, now worth $20 And that is "Jaws" by Ravensburger (2019). But you never know , perhaps , one day , "I will just have to go back to the Island" per Leon Russell And watch the sun go down" And try to play that damn game Shelf O Shame agin, Maybe I might find a bunch of Parrotheads/boat/beach-crowd in the future. . 😎 They might like Jaws. LOL IDK

Just 3 games on my shelf of shame right now. Colonists has been on there for about 3 years. The play time is what keeps it there.

Godzilla corssed with Star Wars. A fun concept, except for the part where it gets brought to Coruscant. Fun concept that could have used better execution.

What i think of Zillo Beast is that it's an episode that I could see it as an in-universe holofilm that I believed to be released only on the Coruscant, rather than endangered species to fight against.

And as someone else said, you can't make a direct U-turn with the River, as that could make impossible situations. You got so many things wrong with the Flying Machines. You CANT land in a Field as a Farmer, and you CAN land on a already claimed road, city, or monastery! You can even have two meeples on the same tile (yours or an opponents) I was looking forward to seeing the rest of the vid, but I think I'll stop here.

They are releasing a cardboard only retail version called Foundations of Metropolis in a regular box size. That's worth mentioning.

Man, anyone remember the menancing Durge? Cause I do. Way better than Cad Bane and crew. A menancing figure in intimidating battle armor who can hardly be killed... way better than a space cowboy. Anyway, another Filoni fail.

The game is not overproduced imo. Light/medium gamers also deserve deluxified components. Even heavy games can be played with cheaper components. I am glad they made the game this way

Oh Dang! I'm just starting reading EU books and am reading "I, Jedi" I'm half way through, I was having some issues with how egotistical the main character was and the shoddy the depiction of Luke, but this took the wind out of my sails, it's going to be super hard to finish it now.

I've just discovered your channel (very enjoyable and informative) & am just getting into the EU, a little late, I did read the Thrawn trilogy a few years back, but I picked up a couple of these out of order, but I really liked them, they were quick but good adventures and loved getting more Qui Gon.

I'm back after recovering from a minor health issue, and will continue to write my analysis of each episode. Anyway, this episode was amazing like the all other episodes. Amazing action, Hondo is a goat and more devalopment for Anakin Skywalker. This show doesn't miss!

I loved some of the ideas, most of the book is pretty good, but as much as I dig the concept of the Eye of Palpatine, it was just so ridiculous to imagine gammoreans and tusken Raiders etc brainwashed to be Stormtroopers. Even if they weren’t trying to wear ill fitted armour it would be ridiculous. The rest of the movie I can easily digest and the enclave on Belsavis in Plett’s Well sounds very cool.

Filoni canon...Ehhhhh it ain't Gendy Tarkovskys Clone Wars that's for sure. And each episode was 2 mins long!

I can't believe Trajan wasn't in your list, especially after you said you love rondels. I will check the list. I just posted a Vintage Charlie Chan Detective Mystery Board Game copyrighted 1937 with all the game pieces and in pretty good condition considering it could be well over 75 years old. Still has original price tag of $1.95. Love old board games

The cloaking issue was kinda explained with how the TIE Phantom worked. It uses Stygium Crystals which is different from the Cloaking devices used by Thrawn and the Empire. I should also point out that both the Scimitar and the Stealth Ship were both created by Sienar who probably owns a patent on the technology.

I think this one is pretty neat, I like it. You can always explain away the invisibility thing, it's a few episodes from now where some tech gets crazy, like the 'information retrieval' thingie, that's just very obviously a writing tool to get the character that's using it to where the writers want the plot to be.
